Hey guys! I know she hasn't been around and done as much as one might've hoped, but Lola is heading back to Berlin to finish her education back at her home school.

I had set up for her that she was in Fandom on exchange, and it makes sense to me and her character at present development to make that a semester-long exchange, instead of a longer one. I've had fun playing with her, as I hope you have, too.

Coyote is still around and going strong, and *fingers crossed* I've got an app in for a new student, so I am definitely still about. Just not Lola.

Thanks!

So, in about 12 hours, I'll be sitting in the airport waiting for a flight to New Orleans with the fam. Which means, naturally, that I'll be generally AFK for the vast majority of the next week (through Sunday, October 12). I'll probably be on for an hour or two in the evenings, but will mostly be building, interviewing, and touristing up the town.

Lola will -- hopefully -- manage to ping into sign in threads for her two classes, but will otherwise just be quiet and not around much. If Tony wants to mod her presence in the room, I'm down with that.

Coyote is sweating it up in his newly rented store to get it ready to open. And yes, that's what he'll be doing all week. He's a trickster spirit. Time has very little meaning for him when he doesn't want it to.

See everyone on the flip side!

Lola had heard all about the island moving and the evil island wanting to take over and the tournament and all that deal, and it had taken her this long to finally brave coming out of her room and heading off to explore a bit.

What? Yeah, it was freaky. But it was also kind of neat.

Then she found the badly made wooden arrow-shaped sign reading "Free Bratwurst for Germans".

She didn't even like Bratwurst. But you so didn't see that every day. So she followed it.

There were three more signs on the way, all as oddly cheap and dingy as the first and all leading her towards a relatively empty part of town, where she finally spotted the Bratwurst.

Right, okay. Not only was the plate sitting on a giant red X and the R's on the final "Free for Germans!" sign backwards, but she could see the shadow of the piano hanging over the plate on a rope and hear something dripping around the corner of the building.

She stepped closer and peered into the shadows. A pair of glinting yellow eyes and long fangs stared back. She was pretty sure it was drooling in anticipation.

Lola booked it all the way back to the dorms, far too aware of the giant, anthropomorphic coyote racing after her, fork and knife in already in hand, still drooling.

[ooc: Establishy, totally down for broadcasting, etc.]

Lola was bored. Bored enough, in fact, to end up calling her mom, just to talk.

"//. . . No, Mom, it's fine, I'm -- I didn't run away, I went to school. . . . No, Mom, I -- No, Mom -- You don't -- you and Papa -- are you drink -- no, of course not -- that's not how it -- will you just -- don't -- Mom . . . Mom. . . . Mom. . . . just --" It wasn't going well. "HALT DIE KLAPPE!!"

Her voice hit a particularly piercing, high note on the last short "e" of the conversation as Lola let her frustration take over. Fortunately, the damage seemed to limit itself to just the glass in her framed picture of her parents shattering.

And, you know, possibly her mother's ear drum.

She hung up and pitched the phone across the room. Great, now she was bored and angry.

[ooc: door and post are open.]

Ha, I feel like I should be whipping out all that old German One stuff: "Hallo, ich heisse Lola, ich komme aus Berlin, ich bin 17 Jahre alt. . . ."

I'll spare you.

What you need to know about Lola is pretty simple, really. First off, she's from Run, Lola, Run. She's almost entirely normal*, she's German, she's got herself some vaguely punk leanings, and she will do just about anything for a klondike bar someone she cares about.

Some other stuff you might be interested in:

Timelines, home-life, etc. )

Powers! Or why does 'almost entirely normal' always have an asterisk after it )

Lola's name )

I think that's it. . . . Any questions?

Oh, and why not, here's a word or two about the mun )

"Hallo. You have called the phone of Lola. Leave a message, please. . . . Did I say that right?"
